HushBlur LightMeter is designed with your privacy as the foundation. Our app processes all images and sensor data exclusively on your Android device.
What Stays on Your Device:
- Camera data and light meter readings
- Processing results and calibration data
No External Data Transfer:
- Images are never uploaded to our servers
- No personal data is collected or stored by us
- All processing happens in real-time on your device
1. Permissions We Request
HushBlur LightMeter requires certain permissions to function properly, all of which are used only for local processing:
Camera Permission
Purpose: To capture photos directly within the app in order for determine the correct exposure output
Data Handling: Images are processed immediately and never leave your device
Light Sensor Permission
Purpose: To generate exposure/calibration data based on ambient light conditions
Data Handling: Sensor readings are used in real-time and stored locally
Important Note About Future Image Storage
Current Version: HushBlur LightMeter does not persist or store any images. All processing is temporary and happens in your device's memory.
Future Updates: If we add local/cloud storage features in future versions, we will:
- Require explicit opt-in consent for cloud features
- Provide clear controls to enable/disable cloud storage
- Maintain a local-only version for privacy-conscious users
3. Data Security
Since all processing happens locally on your device, your data is protected by your device's built-in security:
- No internet connection required for core features
4. Third-Party Services
HushBlur LightMeter does not integrate with any third-party services that would access your photos or personal data. The app is completely self-contained.
Google Play Services
We only use standard Google Play Services for app distribution and updates.
5. Your Control & Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Revoke Permissions: You can disable camera at any time in your device settings
- App Data: Uninstalling the app removes all temporary data
- No Account Required: Use the app without creating an account or providing personal information
6. Children's Privacy
Our app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. All processing is local and no data is transmitted.

If we make changes to how the app handles data in the future (such as adding optional cloud features), we will:
